Compression mechanism in multilayered filter cakes

چکیده
Sedimentation combined with a broad particle size distribution in the suspension results multilayered filter cakes, where fine layer forms on top of compressible bottom layer. Owing to their high resistance, particles act as stiff and compress during filtration. This was investigated using model cake composed an artificial Compression determined via volumetric porosity measurement. A reduction due compression increased resistance significantly. The use different types demonstrated that if is higher than bottom, differential pressure pulls down compresses

Multilayered Low Pass Microstrip Filter Using Csrr
In the present paper a multilayered microstrip low pass filter using complementary split ring resonator is proposed. A design for prominent stop band characteristics with minimized ripples is presented, while maintaining the filter pass-band performance. By properly designing and integrating the complementary split ring resonators with the low pass filter, the proposed structure exhibit superio...
متن کاملFriction mechanism of individual multilayered nanoparticles.
Inorganic nanoparticles of layered [two-dimensional (2D)] compounds with hollow polyhedral structure, known as fullerene-like nanoparticles (IF), were found to have excellent lubricating properties. This behavior can be explained by superposition of three main mechanisms: rolling, sliding, and exfoliation-material transfer (third body). In order to elucidate the tribological mechanism of indivi...

The penetration of the Semantic Web into bioinformatics is not like other disciplines. Given critical data resources such as the Gene Ontology (GO) and the challenges associated with the explosion in the number biological databases, biologists, as a community, are already familiar with the advantages of ontologies and the challenges of information integration. Rather than starting from the peda...
